Why Rebuke?

A note from Mr. Reed

You may be wondering why rebuke is the first word in our mission statement. It’s such a strong word.  Titus 2:15 teaches that we are to encourage and rebuke with all authority. As expressed in Proverbs 22:15, we must face folly and foolishness in our children head on.  But remember this, rebuke without encouragement is abuse. Encouragement without rebuke is  hype and of little use.

The beauty is in the balance. We are not our children’s friends, but their parents.  Our purpose is not to ensure that our children are shielded from the realities of life, but that they are prepared to navigate through every stage of life with spiritual wisdom. Don’t take my word for it, read it for yourself.
